author of
MAKING YOUR BAD BACK BETTER WITH THE O'CONNOR
TECHNIQUE
HOW YOU CAN BECOME YOUR OWN CHIROPRACTOR
William Thomas O'Connor, Jr., was
raised and educated in Northeastern Ohio. He completed
High School at Berkshire High School in Burton, Ohio,
distinguishing himself in sciences by scoring highest
in the state on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Tests
in Biology, and artistically by designing the school's
crest. He later entered the U.S. Air Force, was recognized
as a student leader in the technical school where he graduated
as an Advanced Aircraft Sensor Systems Technician. In
this career field, he repaired and maintained the sophisticated
reconnaissance equipment used in modern warfare such as
Airborne Infrared Observation devices, Side-looking Radar,
Aerial Photography, and Night Observation Devices. He
served honorably in Thailand and Vietnam during the Vietnam
War, winning awards for superior performance. He was honorably
discharged in 1974 to pursue an academic career.
After three and a half years, he earned
his University of Colorado baccalaureate degree with honors
(cum laude) in 1977, in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental
Biology as well as English where he received the Jacob
Van Eck award for scholastic achievement and community
service. He received his doctorate of Medicine at the
University of Cincinnati in 1981. He completed his post-doctorate
studies through the University of California at Davis
where he subsequently served as an Assistant Clinical
Professor for approximately ten years. He was board certified
in 1984 and is currently licensed as a physician &
surgeon in both California and Oregon. He is a certified
Civil Surgeon, has been in the active practice of medicine
as the medical director of a Northern California community
clinic for sixteen years, and now is in private practice
in Vacaville, California.
He had long-suffered from back pain himself due to the
inadequacy of its contemporary clinical management. His
quest for pain relief led him to a number of valuable
discoveries that proved to be hugely successful in treating
a wide range of previously poorly treated or untreatable
backache and neck pain patients. For a more explicit rendition
